Public, top 10

Grid activity and load growth

The top 10 states by generation queue activity and electricity sales growth, from measured public data. Not a data center suitability score.

How we work

  • Public filings only. Every figure traces to a public filing, and each fact shows its date.
  • Hand checks marked. A station whose figures a person matched to the source documents says so; everything else says it was screened only.
  • A monthly accuracy sample. Each month a random sample of rows from every source is checked against the original filing, and the error rate is reported with its sample size.
  • No predictions or calls. We report what the filings say; when a figure is old or a reason is unknown, we say so rather than guess.
